TONIGHT: “Years of Living Dangerously” Documentary & National Carbon Pricing Webinar

Join ECO for a remote viewing of the National Carbon Pricing Webinar, sponsored by Our Climate’s “Put a Price On It” campaign. First, we will be popping popcorn and screening an episode of the award-winning climate change documentary series Years of Living Dangerously which will focused on carbon pricing and biodiversity loss from climate change, followed by an expert panel discussion about carbon pricing featuring Aasif Mandvi (comedian & YEARS correspondent), Joel Bach (co-creator of YEARS of Living Dangerously), Camila Thorndike (Co-Founder of Our Climate and recently named in #Grist50), and more!

On Monday April 10th, at 11am in IAB 405, come and hear LIVE the launch Ms. Christiana Figueres new campaign to raise ambition on climate action and make 2020 a turning point in emissions (broadcasted LIVE from London).

She will be joined by Lord Nicholas Stern, Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics, Professor Joanna Haigh, Co-Director of the Grantham Institute at Imperial College and Professor Thomas Stocker, Professor of Climate and Environmental Physics, Physics Institute, University of Bern, IPCC Chair (2008-2015), Astro Teller, CEO of X and Helena Morrissey, CBE, Head of Personal Investing, Legal & General Investment Management. The event will be moderated by Steve Sedgwick, CNBC Anchor.

As former Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC from 2010 to 2016, Ms. Figueres leaded the efforts that culminated with the Paris Agreement in December 2015. Today, she has a new mission in mind: Mission 2020 #DontBeLate
