Food, Farming, and Climate: Legal Advocacy for Addressing Climate Change and the Food System

Peter Lehner (Law ’84), Senior Attorney with Earthjustice, will discuss the nexus between climate change and the food system, with a focus on legal advocacy tools available to mitigate the climate impacts of the food system, and to adapt the food system to the reality of climate change. Lunch will be provided.  Co-sponsored by the Columbia Environmental Law Society and the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law.

Volunteer Opportunity at the Nature Conservancy’s New York City Program
Volunteer opportunity to plant native trees and shrubs at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on October 28th and 29th. The goal of our project is to restore habitat for an array of resident and migratory songbirds, as well as more than 60 species of butterflies and native pollinators.
