Perhaps bigger is not always better. This year, we celebrate the small: the power of individual actions, local success stories from our neighboring Harlem community and the worlds we cannot see with the naked eye.
Highlighted speakers this year include Grammy-nominated musician Matisyahu and New York Times bestselling author Sapphire whose book inspired the Academy Award-winning major motion film, Precious.
Other confirmed speakers include Aurora Anaya-Cerda of La Casa Azul Bookstore in East Harlem; Chef Joseph “JJ” Johnson, Chef de Cuisine at The Cecil restaurant in Harlem; and Tao Porchon-Lynch, the oldest yoga teacher in the world; and many more inspiring talks!
