Center on Global Energy Policy is looking for Summer Research Assistants!

The Center on Global Energy Policy is currently looking for Summer and Fall Research Assistants to support the Center Director, Fellows, and overall Center research efforts! Research Assistants are given a wide range of assignments including: conducting research, providing operational support, attending meetings, and writing memos on a variety of energy, economic, geopolitical and environmental issues.

EE Concentration Spring FlingThe event will be held on Thursday May 15 @ 6-9pm, at the Faculty House, Ivy Lounge. We will enjoy an open bar and healthy summer food. Wear your best spring fling cocktail attire.

At the event, we will also announce the winners of the first EE spring competition, including exciting prices.

The event is an opportunity just for our E&E Concentration to reward all your hard work, celebrate our graduating friends, and toast our many achievements over the year. There is no cost to E&E Students. Please take note that space is limited, however, and to keep your slot, please register SOON on the EE Courseworks page under sign-up (under ”Spring Fling”).

First annual EE Spring Competition

At the Spring Fling, we will announce the winners of the first EE spring competition. Exciting prices will wait for the three students submitting the best answers.

To participate, please answer the four energy/ environment related questions below and send your responses to no later than April 14th. For the price-guesses, please submit guesses with two decimals. We will rank the answers to all four questions individually and then make a decisive aggregate ranking. We will reward the three best overall results.

 Competition Questions

  • What will the spot Brent Crude Oil price be on May 10th, COB?
  • What will the January, 2015 Henry Hub Natural Gas price be on May 10th, COB?
  • Will President Obama have approved the Keystone XL Pipeline by May 10th?
  • What will be the European Climate Exchange EU Allowances Futures daily volume be on May 10th?
